The preview of the third Simona Gesmundo Short Movies Prize edition took place in Neapol on May 19th 2009 in Teatro Totò, F. Cavara street 12, with the contribution of Napoli Province and the Campania Region and Napoli Council patronage.

Simona Gesmundo, the Prize is withdrawn by the parents Gaetano Gesmundo and Anna Rosa Tortora, "for the pioneering studies on the artificial intelligence applied in cinema and for the application system realized on the Animation Movies. Her pedagogic work continues to deserve important remarks in Italy and abroad. To her memory".
