PRIZE "SIMONA GESMUNDO" FOR ANIMATED SHORT FILMS
    Art.1
     The third edition of the Prize "Simona Gesmundo" will take place in the strip of land between Diamante and Paola (CS) within the film exhibition "Il fiore d'ogni dove", directed and organized by Matilde Tortora, in association with Laboratorio Sperimentale Giovanni Losardo and with the Association for the Prize "Simona Gesmundo", presided over by Gaetano Gesmundo.
    Art.2
     Admittance to the competition is granted to short animated films of any kind and format of a maximum length of 15 minutes, either published or still unpublished. The works must be sent exclusively in DVD size. Each candidate may present more than 1 piece of work.

     The works must be sent in DOUBLE COPY by June 15, 2008 (postmark accounts for validity) to these addresses:

    The materials to be sent are:

  1. a DVD indicating title, author, length and subject (double copy)
  2. a picture of the film and its director in .jpg format at 150dpi (double copy)
  3. a script in Italian and English (double copy)
  4. a film synopsis in Italian and English in no more than 10 lines(double copy)
  5. application form and release paper (double copy)
  6. other optional materials(double copy)
    Materials will not be returned ; they will be filed in the archives of the Prize "Simona Gesmundo".
    The copies of the films shall be sent by Registered Post, Express Mail or Express Courier.

    Participation is free.

     The postal fees are at the participants' expenses.

     The Prize Simona Gesmundo is organized as follows:
    Animated short films
    - Prize for the best animated short film, "drawing section", awarded by the jury
    - Prize for the best animated short film, "digital section", awarded by the jury

    The winners will be awarded the "Prize Simona Gesmundo - Il fiore d'ogni dove" and given space on a web page with technical chart and interview at www.premiosimonagesmundo.com

     The selection panel is formed by Matilde Tortora, Art director of the film exhibition "Il fiore d'ogni dove", by Robert Kalman, member of the UNESCO Executive Committee , by the Hungarian artist Anna Kiss, by Luigi Di Gianni, film director and university teacher, by Francesca Villani, film reviewer for Laboratorio G. Losardo,Luciana Bordoni ENEA researcher and professor of Artificial Intelligence of Istituto Universitario Suor Orsola Benincasa di Terontola,Ernesto Paolozzi professor of Philosophy at Istituto Universitario Suor Orsola Benincasa di Terontola, by Gaetano Gesmundo, president of the Association for the Prize Simona Gesmundo and by the professor Alfonso Tortora, responsible of the archives of the Common one of Pagani (SA).

    The jury will distinguish the films in competition from those out of competition, declaring the winners among the selected ones.
    The decision of the jury is final. The jury has a right to award no prize if works should not have the necessary qualifications.

     Participation to the competition implies acceptance of the above regulations in all their points.
